Frequently Asked Questions

New place.  We get it.  Even if the people are friendly, it can be intimidating.  Here are a few of the questions that some people might ask...

  • What about the kids?

    We aim to be a "kid-friendly" church.  We don't "shuffle them off" as some churches do, but we honor our children and believe we are all in this "discipleship thing" together with them.  Except for the first Sunday of the month when we share communion together, the kids leave right before the sermon for their own instructional time.  And, oh yes, we have a caring nursery for your littlest ones. 

  • What should i wear?

    Easiest question ever.  Though some may wear a nice dress or dress pants, most folks are pretty relaxed in what they wear to worship on Sunday.  Come as you are!

  • How do i get involved?

    See our next steps page here.  If you have a specific question, the easiest way to get a good answer is to indicate your interest on the response card in worship on Sunday.

  • Is your church affiliated with any group?

    As a matter of fact, we are.  We are part of the American Baptist family in the Great Rivers Region.  Locally, our pastors are active in the Galesburg Area Ministerial Association (GAMA).
